General Questions
- How do I get money?
- You can obtain coins many ways in Akarrian Expansion. The most common way is to kill monsters, which can earn you coin if the monster has any, or selling items that monsters drop. You can sell the items to NPC's that are willing to buy them or even sometimes other players that are looking to obtain the item. Note that some monsters don't drop coins, bunnies and wolves have no wallets.
- How do I get a horse?
- You can ride mounts by first, purchasing their deed and secondly equiping their deed. When equipting your deed, you must be close by the animal you own in order to mount the creature.
- How do I use attribute points?
- You gain attribute points as you gain experience. You can use your attribute points with the button found under the "Character (F2)" tab, labeled as "Use Attribute point". When you select the button with your cursor, it will open a new window showing your options of what it can be added towards, as well as inform you about which attribute advances which stats.
- How do I change my class?
- You can change your character's class using the "Change Class" button found in the "Character (F2)" tab. When changing your class, keep in mind that you cant undo the change and may only continue further into your selected class. For example, if you chose to become a Fighter, you could not later turn into a Apprentice since the class has nothing to do with the fighter branch of Akarrian Expansion.
- How do I attack using a bow or crossbow?
- In order for your bow or crossbow to fire, you will need to have equipt two things. The bow or crossbow your trying to fire, and the ammunition used in the weapon. When attacking with a bow or crossbow, you must keep in mind that you will not be able to fire the bow if an enemy is not at least 1 space away from your character.
Fine tuning spell controlls
- How do I set a main and secondary spell?
- This makes spells much more convenient for mages and healers! First you must select the spell you would like to use as your main attack spell using your "Skills (F4)" tab. After you have your spell selected you will notice a button at the top of your skills page that reads "Set Skill as Default (Ctrl+D)" press this button down and your have your main attack spell set. From that point on you will cast the chosen spell on any enemy you click. To set another spell to your "Skill" button, simply choose another spell from your list of spells and it will assign to be used whenever you choose your "Skill button".
- How do I assign spells to seperate catagories?
- This can be easily done using your Ctrl and Tab buttons on your keyboard. Ctrl+(insert number here) will allow you to seperate your spells by simply changing between your 9 different catagories(1–9) and choosing the spell from your "Skills (F4)" tab. You may quickly cycle through your spells by using the Tab button on your keyboard. This will show your currently selected spell on the screen and display the spells name at the top right part of your screen.
Crafting and Combining items
- How do I combine items in my inventory?
- This can be accomplished by selecting the 'Use' button and then selecting the first igredient, then after the second ingredient. Certian items in the game such as "tiny fur" can be pieced together to construct a new item, such as "small fur".
- How do I craft items?
- Crafting items can be done within certian shops. To craft an item, choose the option to craft and place certian ingredients into the window that opens. If you have a successful craft combination, the item constructed out of your ingredients will be displayed in the results screen, as well as costs to craft.
Guilds and Guild Houses
- How do I make a guild?
- You can make a guild obtaining 30gc, and finding 4 other players who are not in guilds and willing to help you. The creator of the guild must be able to hold 10gc and the members of the guild must each be able to hold 5gc. You must create a fellowship with the 4 other players and then use the /gcreate command in order to successfully make a guild.
- How do I get a guild house?
- You can purchase a guild house by obtaining the amount of coin the house your after costs, then contacting an admin and alerting them that your ready to buy one. You must be in a guild to buy a guild house and may not own more then 1 guild house per town.
- How do I upgrade my guild house?
- Fist, join the forums. After you have become a member, you will see a section labeled "Guild Houses" that will contain detailed instructions on how to order guild house upgrades, as well as status on your upgrade. Payment must be given to an admin in the game.
- How do I customize a room in my guild house?
- This can be accomplished only after downloading the "Custom House Editor" from the downloads section of the website. The editor contains instructions of how to be used.
Becoming a Moderator or Developer
- How do I become an admin?
- You can not simply become an admin. Admin are chosen by the hosts of the game, so please don't ask.
- How do I become a developer of Akarrian Expansion?
- We are always looking for new and talented developers willing to help akarra. In order to become one you need to send an example of your skills in the respect to the position you wish to fill.
